Free Online kVA to kW Calculator with Power Factor & Phase Support

kVA ↔ kW Calculator

Formulas & Explanation

  • Single Phase: kW = kVA × PF
  • Three Phase: kW = kVA × PF × √3
  • Reverse Calculation: kVA = kW / (PF × Phase Factor)

PF = Power Factor, Phase Factor = 1 for single phase, √3 for three phase.

How This Calculator Works

1. Phase Type: Select Single Phase or Three Phase system first.
2. Power Factor (PF): Ratio of real power to apparent power; indicates efficiency.
3. Apparent Power (kVA): Total power including real and reactive components.
4. Real Power (kW): Actual usable power performing work.
5. Calculations: Enter either kVA or kW, select PF and phase, then click Calculate. Swap switches input/output. Clear resets all fields.
